Antonio Aricò, originally from Reggio Calabria, after studying in various fields of design, opened his own studio in 2011. His first self-produced collection is "Back Home", premiered during Milan Design Week 2012. The series showcased a unique approach that paralleled crafts and self-production with industrial design, a little-explored concept at the time.
The interest artisanal production techniques closely linked to the territory and the attention to detail and quality of materials used, have become over time the signature of the designer, who has worked with major Italian brands such as Barilla, Seletti, Alessi, Bitossi, EditaMateria, Altreforme, Noberasco, Texturae.
His history and works have been presented at the Triennale in Milan, at the Museum of Holon in Tel Aviv, at the NGV in Melbourne, at the headquarters of the Italian Ambassador in Copenhagen and at Rome’s Palazzo delle Esposizioni
